Special Activities

The Special Activities that take place throughout the year are the herbs and spices of the Probus Perth menu. They add zest to the program and help to bring members together in pursuit of common interests and friendship.

We have been exceptionally fortunate to have had such interesting activities over the years.

For all events, priority is given to members and their guests. If there is room, members of other Probus Clubs are welcome to attend. For some events there may be minimum numbers of people required to proceed and there is usually a charge, payable in advance. The advance payments are normally reimbursed in full if the members are unable to attend or the activity does not proceed, unless a non-refundable deposit has to be paid to reserve the event. The club attempts to break even on all special activities.

December 9, 2011 ~ Annual Christmas dinner dance at the Lion's Club with great music by Tim Murry and his jazz ensemble.
October 13, 2011 ~ Fall Colours in the Pontiac and the Ottawa Valley

Our June meeting took place at the Timber Run Golf Club in Lanark . It was combined with an optional closing luncheon. Members were also invited to take part in an optional informal round of golf after the luncheon.

May 25, 2011 ~ The Marvelous Wonderettes at Thousand Island Playhouse.
This wass a matinee performance, with optional gourmet boxed lunch on the deck and a "talk" with some of the actors.

Mar. 31 , 2011 ~ Probus dinner theatre evening ~ "You Say Tomatoes" at the Studio Theatre and dinner at the Stone Cellar.
